In the Fall of 2003 Library’s Systems department took the initiative to create the technological infrastructure to support PDAs and Smart phones in the Library. This will allow patrons of the Library to transfer citations, Library’s catalog search results and other materials easily without need for special cables, cradles, or device configurations.

The result of this work and our experience on supporting PDAs in the Library was presented at a poster session at the EDUCAUSE 2005 Annual Conference in Orlando. The topic of the session was - Emerging Technologies: Handheld Devices in the Library settings.
