· The Oral History ProjectProfessor Adina Back began an oral history project documenting the Farm Labor Project and the Vanguard newspaper. Material from the Archives will be used as background to prepare for the interviews that will be conducted. Professor Back's student assistants have also collected photographs and documents from College alumni who participated in the Farm Labor Project.

Membership in the Friends continues to build. The annual premium for those who joined at the $250 or higher level was a wooden model of LaGuardia Hall, including the new wing that is presently under construction. The annual Friends event was a private tour of the Brooklyn Museum, Sunday May 21, 2000.
