CD-ROMs, only recently the leading format for electronic information, are almost a thing of the past: the only full-text product the Library continues to receive on disk is the New York Times. At the same time, database searching has become positively archaic: in 1999/2000, only five searches (three in biology, two in chemistry) were conducted. When it comes to carriers of electronic information, today the Web is the undisputed king.
In 2000-2001 Brooklyn College faculty and students will have access to these Web-delivered resources, which include an estimated 9,374 full-text e-journals:
