Chief Librarian Barbra Higginbotham served on the American Library Association's governing body, ALA Council http://www.ala.org/alaorg/council/index.html. The American Library Association has more than 100,000 members; Council is a body of 170 librarians. Dr. Higginbotham is also a member of the American Library Association's Office of Information Technology Policy Advisory Committee, which met at Brooklyn College for a retreat on the weekend of September 6 and 7, 2003. The group includes two past presidents of the American Library Association.
Associate Librarian for Collection Development Susan Vaughn was elected to the EBSCO Users Group. EBSCO is the jobber for the bulk of our print journal subscriptions and the supplier of many of our full-text e-journals.
