Library Reps and Tech Reps annual meeting: The annual meeting among the Library/AIT professional staff, department chairs, Library Representatives, and Technology Representatives occurred on March 8. This year's event was styled as a town meeting; every participant received a folder with Library handouts and refreshments were served. The meeting was very well attended, despite the snowy, blustery day.
Advisory Committee on Academic Computing: ACAC's work is described earlier in this report; however, no section on outreach could fail to include this important faculty advisory group.
Have Lunch on the Library: This year each subject specialist was encouraged to invite his or her departmental Library Reps for lunch, with the Library picking up the tab.
Faculty Bulletin: This wonderful publication appears at the start of the fall and spring semesters--we distribute it at the semi-annual stated meeting of the faculty. We also mount the Faculty Bulletin on the AIT Web site http://ait.brooklyn.cuny.edu.
Faculty Guide to Computing: http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/bc/pubs/facguide/index.htm The Faculty Guide to BC Technology, a joint ITS/AIT publication, was developed to assist faculty in the use of available campus technology. It describes current systems, services and facilities and clarifies the roles of support teams. The Guide provides detailed lists of resources and contacts' names.
Library & AIT Web Sites: This where most people start.
Plasma Screens: Prominently located, the Library's three plasma screens (Library foyer; New Media Center; Library Cafe) keep readers up to date about events and services.
Access: http://library.brooklyn.cuny.edu/access/accarc.htm The e-zine of the Library and AIT, Access includes articles on a wide range of bibliographic and computing topics
