Each year, the Library provides a rich series of cultural events for members of the College community, as well as the community at large. This programming is arranged by the Library’s Cultural Events Committee; many events are followed by receptions. This year’s offerings, all admission free, included:

The members of the Cultural Events Committee include Judith Wild (chair), Jane Cramer, Anthony Cucchiara, Miriam Deutch, Marianne LaBatto, and Irwin Weintraub. Jane Cramer creates the posters for all events and Sandra Stumbo arranges the receptions that follow.
GUITAR SERIES
Our collaboration with Lars Frandsen and the Conservatory continued into the Fall Semester with another group of talented musicians entertaining and educating music students and other guitar aficionados. Each concert was followed by a workshop.
September 21: versatile guitarist Ana María Rosado, accompanied by talented cellist Joseph Meyers: Latin American works by Bellinati, Tania León, Morel, Vásquez, Zenamon, and Brouwer.
October 5: award-winning guitarist Paul Gregory: works by Barrios, Bach, Albeniz, and Walton.
November 16: virtuoso guitarist Stephen Marchionda: works by Dowland, Britten, Maw, and Jose.
