- Philip Napoli, on a line shared by the Library and the History Department, began his tenure candidacy.
- Jocelyn Berger-Berrera completed her second masters and became an assistant professor.
- Head of Acquisitions Bertha Bendelstein retired, concluding a 35-year career at Brooklyn College.
- Barbara Allier was named Circulation Supervisor and promoted to CUNY Administrative Assistant.
- CUNY Office Assistants Donaree Brown (Information Services), Shante Harrell (Archives & Special Collections), Malka Hoffert (Collection Development), and Bridget Nowicki (Circulation) joined the Library staff.
- Network specialist James Liu was chosen as Brooklyn College Employee of the Month (October).
- Custodian Kathy Laverne McLaughlin was chosen as Brooklyn College Employee of the Month (April).
- CUNY Office Assistants Elizabeth Pines, Edythe Rosenblatt, and Sherry Warman completed their masters degrees in library science.
