There are three series that can be found in this collection of material. The first one contains the assorted letters and papers from Asa Don Dickinson’s file covering the year 1932 through 1958. The second series includes several (but not all) of Mr. Dickinson’s publications including the little Panjab Library Primer that he wrote for his students in Lahore, India, during the time he taught at Punjab University in 1915 as well as some other publications. The third series contains some correspondences to certain individuals including Stephen Vincent Benet, Carl Sandburg, Karl Menninger, H. L. Mencken, and Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. And, the final series is comprised of a Master’s Thesis written by Edythe Rosenblatt about Brooklyn College’s first Chief Librarian, Asa Don Dickinson.
