| Acquisition/Appraisal | The John J. Rooney collection was transferred in 1989
to the Brooklyn College Library Archive by the James A. Kelly Institute
for Local Historical Studies at St. Francis College. These papers
were gifted to St. Francis College by the Rooney family upon his
death. They document important aspects of Brooklyn’s political
and community life.
