JSTOR offers full-text access to archival scholarly journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, including classics.  Because of JSTOR's archival mission, there is approximately a 1-5 year gap between the most recently published journal issue and the content available in JSTOR.

The Philosopher's Index is a bibliographic database with informative, author-written abstracts covering scholarly research in all areas of philosophy. The literature covered goes back to 1940 and includes journal articles, books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews. The Philosopher's Index monitors over 550 journals from more than 40 countries and is updated quarterly. Extensive indexing includes personal and proper names along with subject terms; there is also the capability to search for the authors of book reviews. The database covers the fifteen fields of philosophy: aesthetics, axiology, philosophy of education, epistemology, ethics, philosophy of history, philosophy of language, logic, metaphysics, philosophical anthropology, metaphilosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of science, social philosophy, and the philosophy of religion.

Project Muse offers nearly 200 journal titles from some 30 scholarly publishers, covering the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, economics, and many others. Project MUSE provides full-text access to a comprehensive selection of humanities and social sciences journals.

Art Full Text is a bibliographic database that indexes (coverage begins in 1984) and abstracts (coverage begins in 1994) articles from periodicals published throughout the world. Selected full text coverage begins in 1997. Periodical coverage includes English-language periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins, as well as periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, and Swedish. In addition to articles, Art Full Text indexes reproductions of works of art that appear in indexed periodicals.

A unique resource, Art Index Retrospective helps users find contemporary criticism of art at the time of its debut, track the body of work of an artist or movement, find artists' interviews and other commentary, and much more. Users can research leading English-language sources, as well as others published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. Besides periodicals, users have access to data from important yearbooks and select museum bulletins. Coverage dates are 1929-1984, and results are limited to bibliographic information only. Not full text.

Literature Resource Center offers access to articles from hundreds of journals (many of which are peer-reviewed), biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of more than 120,000 authors from every age and literary discipline. Users can also find full text of many poems and short stories, as well as book reviews of fiction and non-fiction, including children's, young adult, and adult works.

The Modern Language Association (MLA) International Bibliography provides access to more than 2 million bibliographic citations to journal articles, books, and dissertations from 1926 to the present in academic disciplines such as language, literature, folklore, linguistics, literary theory and criticism, and the dramatic arts. Some of the citations have abstracts, and the database provides links to full-text when available. Users can search by title, subject, author, as well as journal title, and can link to similar results using related subject lists.

The ACLS Humanities E-Book Project is a digital collection of over 2,800 full-text titles offered by the ACLS in collaboration with twenty learned societies, nearly 100 contributing publishers, and librarians at the University of Michigan's Scholarly Publishing Office. The result is an online, fully searchable collection of high-quality books, essays, and primary sources in the Humanities, with a broad selection of subjects and fields, ranging from Women's Studies and Politics, to Literary Criticism and Religion. Allows users to save and email citations, as well as link directly to titles.

ebrary is an information delivery service that features a growing selection of more than 36,000 titles from more than 200 leading academic, STM, and professional publishers.

ebrary allows an unlimited number users of any one book in the database at any given time.  Portions of books may be downloaded as PDF files, and entire books may be downloaded and read using the Adobe Digital Editions reader.

The site allows users to search and browse within multiple categories. Along with full color and black and white images with zoom capability, users can find information on date, repository, and material(s), and can save search results in folders. The database also provides detailed subject guides that include information on featured collections and commonly used search terms.
