This resource explores the dimensions of human well-being through a combination of maps, datasets, resources, and short articles on the linkages between poverty and the environment. It is part of the EarthTrends environmental information collection at the World Resources Institute. Th site serves as a repository for the subnational datasets compiled by the World Resources Institute from many sources, including The World Bank, The Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN), and Demographic and Health Surveys. The resource currently houses over 70 regional or provincial maps and datasets on poverty, human development, and health.
