Sharing Our Expertise With Others

"Word of Brooklyn's success with faculty development has spread throughout CUNY, and our program is achieving national and international recognition. This recognition is almost exclusively owing to Dr. Sylvie Richards. Sylvie is a motivated and dynamic speaker who, in the short time she has been here, has created for Brooklyn three important innovations that are sources of academic interest and recognition." Howard Spivak, Director for Library Systems & Academic IT

The "E-Survivor" conference was certainly an important example of sharing our expertise with others. In the past year, AIT staff have also presented their work and projects at a variety of external conferences. These include:

  • Association for Learning Technology Conference, Edinburgh, Scotland, September 11, 2001, Sylvie Richards, "The Interactive Syllabus: A Resource-based, Constructivist Approach to Learning"

  • EDUCAUSE, Indianapolis, IN, October 30, 2001,Sylvie Richards, "The Interactive Syllabus: A Resource-based, Constructivist Approach to Learning"
