Teaching with Technology: Performance Goals
On September 25, 2001 the president held an expanded Executive Committee meeting to discuss the quantifiable performance goals which the College had suggested to the University. Goals related to the Library and Academic IT included:
In response to the May 2001 report of a Task Force on Distance Learning the College will develop a coherent distance learning program.
Departmental presentations, workshops, discussion groups this past year led to an increase of curricular sites. In 2001-2002, the College will:
Add at least 25 more Blackboard sites [surpassed]
Restructure Blackboard workshops as a multi-tiered series that will address the needs of faculty working at varied levels of technological expertise [completed]
Offer four department-specific workshops [in process]
Offer two University-wide workshops [one down, one to go]
Present three papers on teaching with technology at national or international conferences [completed]
Begin delivering service from the improved AIT space in the new Library [delayed until summer/fall 2002]
Open the New Media Center, a 135 workstation student lab in the new building [delayed until summer/fall 2002]
