Instruction jumped sharply during the 2000-2001 academic year, up 42% over 1999-2000. The number of classes conducted rose by a whopping 70%. These increases are a function of our extensive outreach to classroom faculty and the growing integration of classroom assignment and research technology. As the 2001/02 academic year began, the Library''s instructional program was the primary concern of Information Services staff. Under the direction of classroom instruction coordinator Professor Mariana Regalado (September-October 2001), the unit launched a comprehensive initiative consisting of an integrated classroom program, a CUNY + and Internet workshop series, faculty workshops, and departmental/staff training, with broad participation from all librarians.

  • CUNY+ & Internet Workshops

  • These workshops fell into these categories:

  • Orientation (CUNY+ and WebPac)
  • General Interest Web
  • The Savvy Consumer
  • Emergency Reference
