Supporting Staff Changes
Assistant to the Chief Librarian Mary Shea, on parental leave since August 1999, resigned. In March 2001, Information Services lost its administrative assistant Valerie Baez who took a position at Baruch College. This position was filled two months later by Laura Maltz, a recent graduate of the College and an experienced College Assistant in the Archives and Special Collections.
Wendy Jo Lloyd worked on a temporary Gittleson line in Reserves and Bindery until February 2001. In the fall her position was taken by Francine Moche. Charlotte Hoffman's retirement in May of 2001 provided an opportunity to make an internal transfer: Elizabeth Pines moved from Cataloging to Acquisitions. The vacancy created by this transfer was filled on October 16, 2001 by Maxine Badchkan who became the newest Copy Cataloger. In December 2001 Lavada Lawton (Serials) was transferred to the Brooklyn College Academy; she was replaced January 28, 2002, by Roselyn Krieger.
Library Café Evening & Weekend Manager (Information Systems Aide) Robert Parker Gray resigned in May 2001 and was replaced in February 2002 by Lawrence Albrecht. Circulation Assistant Corrine Furtick resigned in June 2001 and was replaced by Joel Singer in January 2002.
