The PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories. It includes names (common and scientific), plant symbols, checklists, distributional data, species abstracts, characteristics, images, crop information, and links to external Web pages. Advanced search capabilities allow for searching and downloading by numerous criteria, including taxonomy, geographic distribution, ecology, physical description, and other characteristics.
