The text covers worship, beliefs, festivals, and life-cycle events, both traditional and non-traditional, and provides an explanation of the enormous variation in practice. Judaism in America als focuses on the emergence and development of the four branches of the religion: Orthodox, Conservative, Reconstructionist, and Reform.
